We are launching a £500,000 emergency community fund for charities and voluntary organisations which are supporting elderly and vulnerable people through the COVID 19 crisis.
9 Apr 2020
The application process is open until 20 April. Charitable organisations who generate under £1.5m of income doing amazing community work for the elderly or vulnerable people, can receive a grant of £5,000-£10,000. To qualify, you need to:
Please remember that this is intended as an emergency fund to enable your charitable activities to continue at the moment in whatever way is needed; it is not designed to replace other lost income in the longer term.
Please note that applications for funding are now closed.
The information you provide will be used by us to confirm your organisation is eligible for funding, that your activities are charitable and suitable. We will review the answers in your application form, check your website/social links and publicly available records. We will review each application on a case by case basis and most vulnerable need.
Unfortunately, we anticipate that there will be a large number of eligible organisations which we can’t fund.
We will email you to let you know whether we can offer a grant or not as swiftly as possible. If your organisation is not a registered charity, it is possible that we will need to make further checks on your organisation, and if so, it may take slightly longer. We aim for grants to be paid to selected organisations within 14 days of application.
