Dividend
Dividend policy
We announced new dividend guidance in June 2024 at our Capital Markets Event. We increased the dividend per share by 5% for full year 2024 and aim to increase it by 2% from then on. In 2024, the Board also announced a £200m buyback with the intention of undertaking further similar buybacks in upcoming years. This will return more capital to shareholders from 2024 to 2027. This replaces maintaining the 5% per annum growth in dividends per share.

Manage your dividends
We pay dividends twice a year. You can choose to reinvest your dividends or have them paid directly into your bank account.
Confirming your dividends
You’ll receive one annual dividend confirmation, outlining all payments made throughout the tax year. We started doing this in 2023, replacing our previous approach of sending separate confirmation for each dividend.
Reinvesting your dividends or receiving them directly
Reinvesting your dividends
The L&G Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRIP) is a simple way of using your dividends to build your L&G holding.
Your cash dividends will be used to buy ordinary shares through a special dealing arrangement.
Receiving your dividends directly into your bank account
Your dividend will reach your bank account on its payment date. You also won’t have the inconvenience or risk of depositing a cheque.
If you live outside the UK, you can ask us to make your payments in your local currency.
To sign up for either of these services, just log into your Investor Centre account via www-uk.computershare.com/Investor and select 'instructions'.
