The promoter of this competition is Legal & General Investment Management Limited of One Coleman Street, London EC2R 5AA (the “Promoter”), which is part of the Legal & General Group (Legal & General Group PLC and any of its affiliates from time to time, including the Promoter).

This competition is launched in association with the National Trust’s Sky Gardening Challenge 2026.

2.1 The competition is open to:

(a) Legal & General employees; and

(b) residents of Legal & General properties,
who are aged 18 or over.

2.2 The following are not eligible to enter:

  • employees directly involved in the administration of the competition; and
  • any third parties engaged in delivering the competition.

2.3 By entering, participants confirm they meet the eligibility criteria.

3.1 The competition opens on 13 July 2026 and closes on 23:59 GMT 31 August 2026.

3.2 Entries received outside this period will not be accepted.

4.1 To enter, participants must:

(a) create a gardening project in line with the Neighbourhood in Bloom challenge categories:

  • One pot power – create something brilliant using just one pot.
  • Wild about wildlife – grow bee‑friendly flowers to create the ultimate pollinator pitstop
  • Urban farming – grow your own herbs, fruit, or vegetables
  • Sustainable Solutions – reuse water, choose drought‑tolerant plants (like stonecrop or houseleeks), compost scraps, or use reclaimed materials;

(b) post a photo or video of their entry on a social media platform; and
(c) include the hashtag #NeighbourhoodInBloom2026.

4.2 If your social media channel is private, you must also submit your entry via the official Legal & General entry form (“Entry Form”).

4.3 No purchase is necessary to enter.

4.4 Entries must be the participant’s own original work.

5.1 Participants must ensure that:

  • any installations are safe and secure; and
  • they have obtained any required permissions (e.g. landlord consent).

5.2 Entries must not:

  • infringe third-party rights (including copyright or privacy);
  • contain unlawful, offensive, or inappropriate content; or
  • include identifiable individuals without their consent.

5.3 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entries that breach these requirements.

6.1 Entries will be judged based on:

  • creativity;
  • storytelling; and
  • overall achievement (not horticultural perfection).

6.2 Judging will take place after the closing date.

6.3 Winners will be selected by a panel appointed by the Promoter.

6.4 The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to the merits of the decision.

6.5 The Promoter will publish the details of the winners and their winning entries.

6.6 If the winner objects to their surname, county and/or winning entry being published or made available, they should contact the Promoter. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

7.1 Winners will receive a prize bundle provided in association with the National Trust.

There will be two winners and each will win a prize bundle comprising the following:

  • Free entry to one National Trust property (valid for up to 2 adults and up to 6 children, one visit only, to be redeemed before 31 December 2026, some exclusions apply);.
  • £100 National Trust voucher, can be redeemed in National Trust cafes, shops (including online), also admission points to pay for entry, to go towards National Trust membership, National Trust holiday cottages, bunkhouses and bothy stays, plus selected campsites;
  • Craghoppers x National Trust Insulated Mug;
  • National Trust: Across the Land puzzle by Gibson Games; and
  • National Trust A5 notebook

7.2 Participants based in the UK are eligible to receive a National Trust day pass (one visit only) following submission of a valid entry form, as described in the competition materials. The pass entitles the holder to free entry to one National Trust property for up to two adults and up to six children, and must be redeemed by 31 December 2026. Certain exclusions may apply. Passes are subject to availability and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

7.3 Prizes are:

  • non-transferable;
  • non-exchangeable; and
  • no cash alternative will be offered

7.4 The Promoter will substitute prizes with alternatives of equal value if prizes cannot be awarded as described.

7.5 Prizes do not include any extras (e.g. travel, accommodation, spending money) except as expressly stated above.

7.6 No cash alternative will be made. Prizes are non-transferable and will be awarded to the named individual on the entry.

7.7 All prizes must be claimed by Tuesday 22 September 2026. If prize winners cannot be contacted by Tuesday 22 September 2026 to arrange delivery of their prize, they will forfeit their right to a prize.

7.8 We will not be responsible for any transport or accommodation costs incurred in the fulfilment of the prize.

8.1 Winners will be contacted by Tuesday 15 September 2026 via the contact details provided in their Entry Form or via their social media account.

8.2 If a winner does not respond by Tuesday 22 September 2026 the Promoter will select an alternative winner.

9.1 By entering, participants grant the Promoter a royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce and share their entry for:

  • marketing;
  • promotional; and
  • reporting purposes.

9.2 This may include use on websites, social media, and internal communications.

9.3 Participants retain ownership of their content.

9.4 If any Participant objects to their surname, county and/or entry being published or made available, they should contact the Promoter by email: Neighbourhoodinbloom@landg.com.

10.1 Personal data will be processed by the Promoter for the purposes of administering the competition.

10.2 Data will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy.

10.3Data may be shared with third parties involved in administering the competition (including the National Trust) where necessary.

11.1 This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, any social media platform.

11.2 Participants fully release and hold social media platforms harmless from any responsibility arising from the competition.

12.1 The Promoter will not be responsible for:

  • lost, late, or incomplete entries;
  • technical failures outside the Promoter’s reasonable control;
  • any losses, claims, liabilities, damages or expenses arising out of, or in connection with, breach by a participant of these terms and conditions; or
  • any circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

12.2 Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or for any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited by law.

13.1 The Promoter reserves the right to:

  • amend, suspend, or cancel the competition where necessary; and
  • verify the validity of entries.

13.2 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
