Paula’s in the unusual position of being both the Chief Marketing Officer of our Retail division and the Managing Director of our direct-to-consumer business.

She’s been our Retail business’ CMO since the start of 2022, with responsibility for driving customer and marketing strategies across our protection and retirement product ranges. She became the Managing Director of our UK D2C life business in 2019, creating significant year on year profit growth by transforming data, technology and customer experience.

Before taking on her current roles Paula was our Life Division’s Global Marketing Director, where she helped set up a new consumer distribution channel in the US. She also served as a Non-Executive Board Director of the Idol.com until October 2022. That followed a stint as the Marketing Director for our UK Life and General Insurance Business.

Ahead of joining Legal & General in 2013, Paula held several Marketing roles within the Commercial Banking and Insurance divisions of Lloyds Banking Group. She worked across the Lloyds, Halifax and Banks of Scotland brands where she led a number of major transformational projects. They included the integration of the HBOS and Lloyds marketing functions, and the rebranding of Lloyds TSB as Lloyds Bank.

Her career began agency-side in the advertising industry. She graduated with a BA Hons in Modern Languages and Information Systems. She lives in small coastal village in South Wales. When she’s not at work she loves walking on the beach with her family and much-loved dog Fred, and exploring the rest of the world. She speaks good French and fluent Spanish, and is a trained contemporary dancer.
