Legal & General has been announced as Britain’s Most Admired Company for 2022, ranking top among FTSE listed companies in the UK spanning 28 different sectors.

Legal & General scored consistently strongly across all 13 measures of reputation, securing the highest ratings of all companies for its Inspirational Leadership and ESG (winning two more awards: Most Admired - Effective ESG and Most Admired - Inspirational Leadership). In all, Legal & General topped 12 of the 13 criteria in its sector (winning Most Admired - Financial Services Company) ensuring its place as the overall winner of Britain’s Most Admired Company for 2022: the first financial services company to win in 25 years.
Run by independent Expert Witnesses in corporate and brand reputation, Echo Research, in partnership with Coventry University, the study is the longest-running independent survey of its kind on corporate reputation in the country, now in its 33rd year.
In this annual benchmark, C-suite business leaders across the FTSE and their financial analysts are invited to rate companies in their sector, based on a set of 13 criteria ranging from Quality of Management, Quality of Products and Services, Financial Soundness and Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) through to Innovation, Inspirational Leadership and the Ability to Attract and Retain Talent.
