Emma Byron
Managing Director
Legal & General Retirement Solutions
Emma leads the Legal & General Retirement Solutions (LGRS) business. It provides a range of solutions for 4.9 million customers, covering the end to end pensions and savings accumulation journey through and into retirement decumulation.
Her interest in financial learning has led to a range of initiatives, from sponsoring the Girl Guides’ Saver Interest badge to developing free Retirement Planning and Midlife MOT courses with the Open University.
Emma joined Legal & General in 2014 from a senior insurance consultancy role at Oliver Wyman. She was made Managing Director of LGRS in July 2017, building on financial planning and strategy roles in our retirement business and at group level.
Emma’s married to Alex and they have three young children. She graduated from the University of Wales, Cardiff with a BscEcon in Economics and Management. Outside work, she enjoys exercise of all kinds.
