Lorna Shah

Lorna manages Retail Retirement, our newest and one of our fastest growing divisions. As its MD, she oversees our Retail Annuities and Home Finance businesses. She also has commercial oversight of our Workplace Savings and Personal Investing businesses, and of our Retail division’s UK and international mortgage expansion.

She complements those responsibilities with her board membership of L&G Home Finance, Portfolio Management Services (PMS), and L&G Reinsurance. The latter specialises in delivering bespoke pension risk transfer and annuity reinsurance solutions to meet our clients’ specific needs.

Lorna has been at Legal & General since graduating from University of Warwick with an MPhys in Maths and Physics. She qualified as an actuary in 2009 and has held a broad range of actuarial and finance roles across the Group, working on both the insurance and retirement sides of the business.

Lorna’s married with three children aged under 10. She enjoys cooking, sewing, quality time with her family and reading. She’s also a Karate black belt and has skydived, flown gliders and bungee jumped!
